When considering art for prominent display in Gotham's 12th street facing-window, John Baldessari's green apple emoji presented the perfect visual and symbolic image to set the tone for our reopening.

A green play on the iconic red "Big Apple," the work references Gotham's quintessential name and place in New York while its bright twist echoes our dedication to environmental matters.

Additionally, Baldessari's use of text via the words "YOU MAY LIKE," made it the perfect invitation to passers-by and new generation of Gotham guests who we wanted to beckon to come try the next chapter of New Gotham Cuisine.
