One of Gotham’s great honors of 2023-2024 was our growing book event program and relationship with The New York Review of Books sterling seminar program.
Sidney B. Felsen (1924-2024) and the Getty’s “First Came a Friendship”
As co-founder of L.A.’s legendary artists workshop Gemini G.E.L., Sidney Felsen supported many of the greatest artists of the past 50-plus years—and took over 70 thousand photos of artists at work while doing so. We owe Gotham Gallery to the support of Sidney and his wife Joni Moisant Weyl.
